Buyer Guidance

Understanding the Four Choices

Polyester Cotton (PC) vs. Cotton Polyester (CP)

The difference lies in which fibre dominates the blend:

  • •PC (Poly-Rich, 65/35): Maximizes tensile strength, wrinkle recovery, and longevity. Preferred for institutional uniforms, heavy workwear, and fabrics requiring high abrasion resistance.
  • •CP / CVC (Cotton-Rich, 60/40): Prioritizes natural breathability, moisture management, and skin-friendly softness, with polyester providing stability and low shrinkage. Preferred for casual t-shirts, polos, and bedding.

Karded Cotton vs. Combed Cotton

The difference lies in the mechanical combing stage:

  • •Karded Yarn: Retains a natural mix of short and long fibres after carding. Bulkier hand, natural texture, highly absorbent, and cost-effective — ideal for everyday knits, fleece, and terry goods.
  • •Combed Yarn: Short fibres and impurities are mechanically combed out (removing up to 18% noil). Results in an ultra-smooth, lustrous, high-strength yarn with minimal hairiness — ideal for luxury shirting, fine knits, and export-grade apparel.
